What I could do for you ...

Lectures for Photographic Societies

I offer a wide range of technical lectures and demonstrations for Photographic Societies.

These include talks on digital workflow using Photoshop and Photoshop Lightroom, making audio-visual presentations using "Pictures to Exe", basic photo restoration and an introduction to colour management and digital printing.

If you have a particular topic in mind, whether listed here or not, please don't hesitate to get in touch and we'll see what we can do.

The target time for the talks is 60 - 90 minutes but the duration and content can be adapted to suit your needs.

Talks of more general interest

Audio-visual presentations and other talks can be arranged to suit your audience. Please contact me if you have something in mind.

"Just a few lines, thanking you for giving us a great morning, "Get sorted with Light Room". Our members and visitors thoroughly enjoyed your performance. I have since been inundated with emails and telephone calls from our members. Your lecture/demonstration seems to have had something for everyone."

"On behalf of the Selby Digital Group I would like to thank you for your evening last week. All of our members took away something new from your talk on layers, layer masks and adjustment layers, it certainly made using these tools a lot easier for me especially. There is a lot in Photoshop to pick up and every bit of learning helps. I would hope that we may call upon your services again at some time in the future."

"Just a brief note to thank you for an excellent show, 'Going Further with Photoshop'. The content was excellent and the explanations of how things work were easily understood. Even members like myself who have been using Photoshop for many years learnt something and found the show interesting. Brilliant. Hope to see you back again soon."

"Thank you for presenting your talk 'An introduction to Digital Workflow using Elements' at our Society. I think you could judge by the attendance that this was an evening we were all looking forward to, and believe me, we were not disappointed. Everyone there thoroughly enjoyed the talk, it's good to have a speaker who is totally at ease with the subject, and is happy and willing to share that knowledge with others. We all learned a lot from the evening, both beginners and more experienced. Hopefully it will encourage our members to realise the potential of their images, organise the workflow and spend time thinking more about what they are doing, and why, and finish up with some inspired images."
